Thanks to the able leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and the effective arrangements made by the state government, the Kanwar Yatra in Uttarakhand is being conducted in a completely organized, safe, and smooth manner. The positive results of the state government’s extensive arrangements for the convenience of devotees, security, traffic management, health services, sanitation, and law and order have resulted in over 21.9 million Shiva devotees carrying holy Ganga water and safely departing for their destinations. By 6 p.m. on August 6, 2026, 39.15 million Kanwar pilgrims returned with Ganga water in a single day.

Effective arrangements for facilities have been made

Effective arrangements have been made for uninterrupted transportation, security, medical assistance, drinking water, sanitation, and other essential amenities for Kanwar pilgrims across the state. This is why millions of Shiva devotees are completing their journey peacefully, safely, and quickly, and are wholeheartedly appreciating the state government’s arrangements.

The Yatra will be conducted in an orderly manner.

CM Pushkar Singh Dhami stated that the Kanwar Yatra is a grand festival of faith, discipline, and service. He appealed to all Kanwar pilgrims, Shiva devotees, local citizens, voluntary organizations, and officials and employees of various departments to cooperate in ensuring the safe and orderly completion of the Yatra.

The Chief Minister expressed confidence that everyone’s cooperation, coordination, and discipline will ensure the successful and safe conduct of the Kanwar Yatra 2026, and that Uttarakhand will once again firmly establish its glorious tradition of excellent arrangements and hospitality.
