In a strong show of solidarity, members of the Artists’ Forum and the Federation convened at Technicians’ Studio on Tuesday morning to chart the next course of action in the wake of Rahul Arunoday Banerjee ’s case.
The meeting focused heavily on ensuring stronger safety protocols for both artistes and technicians on shooting locations, alongside discussions on accountability within production ecosystems.
Backed by legal counsel, the Artists’ Forum has now drafted two separate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), which will be submitted to both channel authorities and the Indian Motion Picture Producers' Association (IMPA).
“Artists' Forum will submit two different SOPs to channel authorities and IMPA. Once the production house, channel authorities and Artists' Forum, the Federation and IMPA come to a collective decision – only then the strike will be lifted and a new SOP will be decided on which the future guidelines will be based on,” a source said.
Until a consensus is reached among all stakeholders, the fraternity remains firm on its decision to halt work, underscoring that safety and structural reform remain non-negotiable priorities.
